Blog Break Time...

Tomorrow is the first of December. Summer. School holidays. Vacation care. Christmas.

Then it will be January. New Year. More school holidays. More vacation care. Then back to work. Then back to school.

So, to cope with December and to prepare for January, I'm taking a blog break. I have a house to clean. Bible studies to finish. Books to read.

Until then, may you all have a beautiful Christmas remembering our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. And keep safe and well.

It's That Time of the Year...

Well, I'm not going to the beach for swimming, but for strolling and beach-combing. It will be way too cold for swimming where I'm going!

So...time to say farewell for a few weeks. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!

I've Been Put in Time Out!

I've decided to take - or rather, I feel I have been placed in - a time out from my blog. I don't know when I will be back to blog, but I will!

So for now I will say a fond "ta ta for now" and will be back another day.

Bon Voyage...

Tomorrow Jasmine and I are venturing to my home state to visit with my family for my 40th birthday, which is next Thursday! Did I type 'next Thursday'...I meant NEXT THURSDAY! Yes, I am a tad excited by it all!

I woke in the early hours (2am to be exact only to return to sleep at approximately 4am) with a sore throat, aching face and chest and the depressing thought that I have a cold...again! I had only just recovered a couple of weeks back from a cold/virus/horrible "keep me away from work thingie" that I picked up at the end of March. So, today I have been trying to rest while also packing suitcases for Jasmine and I to head to a cold climate!

I am about to enjoy some decaf black tea, pop some headache tablets and take more allergy/head cold medicine and pray that I can sleep!

I shall bid blogland a loving farewell for a brief duration and will return in a couple of weeks!

Hiatus...

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

After a fairly intense couple of weeks for me, I've decided that I'm going to take another blog break to re-focus on the here and now. I know that God is wanting me to hear some very important things from Him, so I need to simplify and still myself some so that I can take it all in. I'll still pop in and check out a few pages from time to time, but won't post for a little while (unless of course I get some insightful messages to share!).

Taking Annual Leave...

I've decided I need to take a blog break, which will hopefully spill over into a semi-cyberspace break as well. I will check in on a few blogs every now and then but may not leave comments. Please know that I will be thinking of you all though. I just need some time out. I'm tired - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and I have too much going on in my mind to even think about writing, let alone put any words on the screen.

Interestingly enough, it is approximately one year now since I started this blog and it has literally been a God-send to me. I've grown closer to God, learnt more about my Saviour Jesus, met some wonderful lifelong friends and have learnt some valuable life and spirit lessons.
I will be keeping up with my Yes to God Tuesday Study and my book club reading, and will 'see' you all again soon.

Still Here...

Yes my friends, I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I'm still alive and kicking, but just not on here as much as have been previously. Life with an emotional nearly 5 year old who has just started 'big school' has taken a bit of a toll over the last week or so and I've had to shift my priorities. My Yes to God Tuesday study is still going strong and I've been learning some valuable lessons from Jennifer Rothschild's book, Self Talk Soul Talk. I've also selected my next Siesta Scripture Memory Verse, which was taken from Jennifer's book actually, and is...

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the word gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." - John 14:27 (NIV

This verse is very applicable at the moment with Jasmine's new found 'emo' self. Bless her little soul. She just wants her mummy, and I can fully relate to that being that I live away from mine. Even at nearly 39 years of age, I still cry for my mum when I'm sick. I pray for peace for Jasmine's soul, and peace for mine, and for her little heart not to be troubled, or for her to be afraid when she's not with me. I recall being the same at her age, as I would cry for both my parents, so for Jasmine it would be doubly hard as she does not live with her father, and as I've discovered this last couple of weeks, I am it; I am her sole (soul) reliance. Please say a prayer for my little girl, and for me to be able to guide her and protect her as much as I can.

Keep smiling my friends, and I hope to be back with some posts sooner rather than later.

Ducks and Duct Tape...

All is good...just lots on with the girlie starting school and work being a tad busy. I'm still doing my Yes to God Tuesday study and hope to post on it next week (chapter 5). I just need to take some time out to get my duckies back in order again, and delve into the Word for some much needed respite and reassurance. Keep smiling ladies, and although I won't be posting (except for my next Siesta Memory Verse on the 1st), I will be checking in on you.
