On Being Thankful...

It's nearing the end of Thursday here in Australia (and nearing the end of a very strange week), so I thought I'd hop on the Thankful Thursday bandwagon and let you know that despite the stress of my current situation, I am very thankful...

I am thankful that my work has been mayhem today as it's kept my mind from wandering and wondering.

I am thankful that God's presence and arms of comfort have been wrapped around me, protecting me from the fear I feel.

I am thankful that I took measures to counteract what was inevitably going to be a dive in emotions (let alone seratonin!).

I am thankful that I can finally be myself as I journey on a new path in my life.

All in all, I am just thankful. I am tired, emotionally drained, nauseaous at the prospect of my life ahead, but overall I am thankful.

Thank You Heavenly Father, thank You for my daughter, my family and my friends, my work colleagues, my Sisters in Christ, my blog friends, and my doctor! But most of all, thank You for YOU...for being such an important part of my life and for leading me where you know I am to go. In Jesus' Wonderful Name, Amen

  2. i just came from Laurie's site and i was just telling her how God is reminding me not to be afraid. whatever is facing us right now, God is greater and more powerful. don't tell God how big your problems are, tell your problem how big your God is. i do that... a lot this season of my life.

  5. Paula, I've been praying for you. I made another trip to that book store and this time had to wait one hour. So I continued to read from Elisabeth Elliott's book on suffering. I guess that's one way to make time to sit and read what I need to read. :)

God is with us in the midst of it. He knows everything that impacts us and He will fill every empty and hurting space within our hearts.

When I'm hurting I tend to isolate myself as I don't want to be a downer for others. But I've discovered that may not be the best thing. I believe we can encourage one another through the good times and the hard times. I guess I need to start writing my Thankful Thursday post now.

    Love you,
    Debbie

  8. Oh Girl,

I am going to have to come back and read some more about what is happening to you. If you want me to pray specifically for you, please email me and tell me how to bring you before the throne.

God bless you that you can find thankfulness in your heart. I am so glad you joined in for TT. See you again next week. Hugs.
