I Just Wanted To Be Loved...

I just wanted to be loved. Not for who I am on the outside but for who God knows me to be on the inside. For who He is revealing to me.

I just wanted to be loved. Not just as an after thought or an aside but as a priority.

I just wanted to be loved. Not having to share the one I love but by being his everything.

I just wanted to be loved. Now I know I have a Father and Saviour that loves me how no other could or can.

I just wanted to be loved. By him. By me. Now God is showing me how much He loves me and it's better than anything I imagined.

I just wanted to be loved. What about you? Did you just want to be loved too? By me? Or by yourself?

I just wanted to be loved. I just want to be loved. I just want to love. I want love. But I want God's type of love. Not the world's type. Not the temporal kind. The everlasting kind.

I just only ever wanted to be completely, fully and openly loved.

  1. Oh Paula, isn't that the cry of each one of our hearts? You are loved. Sometimes I have to remind myself that God loved each one of us so much that He would have sent Jesus to the cross if you or I were the only ones living on this earth. I find that amazing!

But the human heart so wants love. How often in the past have I sought it out in all the wrong places? But I've come to the point of knowing that humans will let me down ...but God never does.

Isn't it awesome that He loves you Paula and your very special daughter Jasmine too. :)

Sending you a hug across the ocean,
    Debbie

  3. I love you Paula!!

I actually don't believe that it is only His love that we need. I know His grace is sufficient for us, but He also made us to have relationships and be loved by each other too. (And I'm not just talking of the husband/wife kind.)

We are made to love and be loved by others. And in order to love others as we love ourselves, we must first accept and understand His perfect love.

    Love you xoxo
