Sunday Session...

I'm vegging around the house today, recovering from a horrid dream-filled sleep and resting my aching body, which is acting up from all this crazy Queensland rain! I'm tweeting, reading blogs, checking out FB (as you do) and I decided that I'd join Thea from Do I Really Wanna Blog? for her Sunday Session.

With all the rain about I started singing this song earlier today. Talk about a trip down the seventies memory lane, haha!

And this song is a new one that I heard yesterday for the first time. It's Jesus Culture's Rooftops and the song in itself is awesome. Such a wonderful song to sing to God!

You Will Restore Me...

I've been reading Psalm 71 and 91 over the last week. These chapters have been providing me with the much needed comfort that I am craving at this time in my journey. Out of the passage below, verses 20 and 21 have provided me with the most comfort. The verses state the truth about where I have been, where I am now, and where I am going to be. Most importantly, these verses tell of what God has done, is doing, and will do in my life.

He will restore me.

God is faithful, wonderful, righteous and ever loving. He is my King and I love Him for giving me the strength I need to get through this period.

I am listening to "Your Love, O Lord" by Third Day while writing this post. Even though verses from Psalm 36 are reflected mostly in the song, I was instantly reminded of this song while reading the above chapters. Please enjoy the verses below and the song.

19 Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens.
You have done such wonderful things.
Who can compare with you, O God?
20 You have allowed me to suffer much hardship,
but you will restore me to life again

For His Purpose and Heart's Desire...

I spent a wonderful few hours at my friend Jo Princess Warrior's house this evening. Along with me there were some of Jo and her husband's friends from their church and 6 lovely kiddies (Jasmine is with her father, so I am kid free for a few days). We all sat around drinking tea and chatting. One of Jo's friends and I got into a nitty gritty discussion about all things life and faith and I was able to not only connect with someone who has lived what I have lived, but also come away with a renewed sense of dignity and purpose. God is amazing with His timing!

I had a rather horrid afternoon. One of which I'd sooner forget. I ended up bouncing back, but it wasn't without a lot of pain and tears. Nevertheless, as I prepare to retire for tonight, I thought I'd join in with Then Sings My Soul Saturday and include a song that I listened to in the car on the way home. This is what I want in my life...to lose my whole life in His purpose and for His heart's desire. To run with blinded eyes, with faith as my guide and to let His love take flight.

It's a new song for a new season of renewal of not only our commitment to each other but also our commitment to and focus on a God centred relationship where we honour Him in all that we think, say and do.
